There was a lot of merrymaking for children in the Accra Metropolist and its environs who took part in a fun games organised by the Embracing Hidden Talents Network at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park.

The games which formed part of the Creativity for Empowerment EVS-Ghana 2009 Project financed by the European Union, had losts of activities including drawing, speech presentations, drama, cultural dance, soccer among others.

Twelve selected schools from Weija and North Kaneshie competed for Honours. Mary Star of the Sea School from Amanfro did not only win the girls' soccer competition they also clinched the second position and placed third in the cultrual dance.

The Soverign International School at New Botianor emerged winners in the boys' sccer, while a splended dance by the  pupils of the Anbell Scool propelled them to a resounding victory in the formation dance competition.

Fo emerging winners in the keenly contested cultural dance segment, the Father's Legacy International School took home a refrigerator and a trophy.

Aside the group awards, Isreal Apeti, a pupil of the Mary Star of the Sea Shool won the best artist award and he as rewarded with a parcel and a medal.

The CEO of the Embracing Hidden Talents Network (EHT-Network), Mr. Ebenezer Parditey said although the activities were competitve, the EHT-Network sught to use such platforms to unearth Hidden Talents among the youth.

He said, over 2000 children in the weija Constituency had benefitted from the project d hope to reach out to more of the underpriveleged in society.
